Feeria

PLN24.00
“Feeria” is a fingering weight, slightly asymmetrical triangle shawl worked sideways from the tip to the bind-off edge. The combination of simple stitch patterns such as Garter Stitch and Loop Stitch matched with an unique arrow-like construction makes the shawl very original and fun to make and at the same time easy even for a beginner knitter. And You know what’s the coolest thing about this shawl? It is all made without even a single purl stitch! Yay!

SIZES
One size
Top edge: 193 cm / 77”.
Depth: 50 cm / 20”.

YARN
For this shawl you’ll need about 820m of fingering weight yarn divided into 3 colors as follows:
CC1 – 360m, CC2 – 160m, CC3 – 300m.
The yardage is approximate and for a tassels you’ll need extra yarn.

For my shawl I used:
CC1 - Martin’s Lab Comfy Merino (100% merino wool; 400 m / 437 y per 100g) in “Carousel” colorway.
CC2 - Mirella Włóczki Warmii (100% Wool-Merino, 400 m / 437 y per 100g) in “Fuxia” colorway.
CC3 - Mirella Włóczki Warmii (100% Wool-Merino, 400 m / 437 y per 100g) in “Moonlight” colorway.

NEEDLES
3.25 mm (US #3) circular needles ( 80 cm / 32” long ), or size needed to get the right gauge;
3.5 mm (US #4) circular needles ( 80 cm / 32” long ), or size needed to get the right gauge.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
1 stitch marker, row counter (optional), tapestry needle for weaving ends.

GAUGE
24 sts and 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 “ - in garter stitch worked flat with 3.25 mm (US #3) needles, after wet blocking.
24 sts and 56 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 “ - in loop stitch worked flat with 3.5 mm (US #4) needles, after wet blocking.
Obtaining the correct gauge is not necessary in case of this project, however all differences will affect the finished size of the item as well as the required yardage.
