This is an Autobiography of Ashlorm TheZionist. This
book critically explores the scenario and challenges
associated with growing up in a typical African society
where single parenting has an adverse influence on the girl
child.
Contextually, the absence of the mother in the life of
children, mostly the girl child poses a threat to the mental
and social well-being. To this end, the book chronicles
these factors as they affect development of the child and
the resultant effect of the author’s mother’s absence and
the effect of excesses of disciplinary measures employed in
correcting erring children. The challenges associated with
parenting are examined with a view to exposing same.
The book also brings to fore the damages associated with
strict parenting, child labour, and its negative effects on 
child upbringing.
