What is an After Effects Project File?
An After Effects project file is the full edit behind the final video. It contains all the layers, compositions, effects, and keyframes exactly as I created them.
By opening the file in Adobe After Effects, you can:
- Explore the complete structure of the edit
- See how I arranged layers, compositions, and assets
- Study my use of effects, transitions, and blending modes
- Learn how keyframes are placed and animated
- Reverse-engineer the creative process step by step
It’s the actual workspace where everything came together. This makes it perfect if you want to learn new techniques, get inspired for your own edits, or understand how complex effects are built.
Plugins & Fonts
This project was created in After Effects 2023 using several third-party plugins and extensions. If you don’t have these installed, certain effects may not appear or function the same way.
Plugins & extensions used:
- Sapphire
- Twixtor
- Looks
- Particular
- Universe
Some of the text animations (and a few bouncy scale pop-up effects) were made using Animation Composer 3. You’ll see them marked with little indicators inside the project. The exact presets can’t be copied over, but the extension is completely free — and I definitely recommend installing it if you want to use or recreate those animations.
Make sure to install the necessary plugins and fonts if you want the project to look exactly as intended. Otherwise, After Effects will replace missing effects with placeholders or default settings. It is not necessary to have all plugins to open and explore the file — you’ll still be able to view the full project structure, layers, and keyframes — but the visuals might appear differently without them.
Disclaimer
I tend to work a little messy in my projects — not every composition is perfectly organized, and sometimes you’ll need to dig around to find certain layers or effects. That’s just how I create. Think of it as part of the experience: you get to see my real workflow, unpolished and authentic.
These project files are provided for educational and personal use. You’re welcome to explore, learn from, and adapt the techniques for your own edits. However, direct resale, redistribution, or re-upload of the original project files or included assets is not allowed.
