Folk Fest - Hand Crafted Font

FOLK FEST is a hand-crafted display font inspired by the rich visual history of quilt-making and the creative spirit of early Arts & Crafts movements. Rooted in tradition but made for today, it pulls from a legacy of stitched messages, patchwork symbols, and the power of handmade work — from freedom quilts and protest banners to home-sewn comforts and folk festival posters.

Think Topanga Canyon in the 70s: music in the hills, posters taped to tree trunks, blankets spread on dry grass. FOLK FEST captures that era’s free-thinking, back-to-basics energy — a celebration of process, imperfection, and the beauty of things made with care.

This all-caps display font is slightly irregular and full of character. Every letter and number comes in two versions: one with stitched quilt markings, and one clean. The lowercase a–z characters are quilt-inspired icons — peace doves, hearts, stars, and patchwork motifs — designed to be used as decorative borders, graphic elements, or stand-alone symbols.
