“VØID CHAMBERS: Dark Rooms” delivers earth-shattering sub-bass with ease, allowing your Microfreak to be the centerpiece of your Live set. Add a Drum machine and your favorite synth and you are good to go. If you are not having fun with it dancing around whenever you turn it on, you may be doing something wrong. So this is my way of helping with that.

I have had more fun with the Microfreak in the last years than with all the other synths I’ve owned so I've decided to share the patches that I enjoy the most with you all.

This is a heavily curated selection of my most recent techno patches that make me dance like a freak around the freak and will allow you to play dawless live sets, producing your own tracks in no-time or for having fun diving in a live session and dancing your ass off any day without carrying much equipment.

The idea is for you to tweak it and explore its depths by quickly creating new sequences (transferring from the arp to the sequencer A or B) and creating new patches for yourself with this as a good high-quality start or for you to use it as it is, as it is intended to be ready to dance with it out of the box.

I love bringing synths to life transforming them into a new instrument with unique qualities and capabilities by creating patches as new platforms for performing. I get there patching over my patches over and over and over and over, over time until months later (and only sometimes) I get a whole new instrument by itself in a single patch (with these unique qualities and capabilities I was talking about) that gets me mad excited and sounds awesome to my ears.

With this technology (plus a drum machine or your DAW) and loud speakers, once you lock-in and connect with the system you are now able to travel through sound (energy, frequency and vibration) visiting new sonic realms maybe never felt before and then storing your progress to save those realms themselves when you get there to get back later and start a new journey dancing from there. 

This is so much fun and the possibilities are endless. 

My work nowadays is the result of 10+ years devoted to my live performances as Wondersonic and later on as Kyeper where I create everything from scratch for every set, every time for every gig. 

I’ve created and have stored 2000+ patches from my live performances since I got this synth (obviously for myself).

Then recently I have decided to share my vision of how the music I love to dance to sounds for me (and maybe also for you too) now and in the near future, with you and the world. And to leave you with looping patches you can really dance to out-of-the-box and create all new interesting music having real fun with yourself (which is the only and ultimate goal of creating or listening music).

Also saving lots of time and the hassle of getting the Freak ready to be the centerpiece of your set leaving you ready to perform in no-time using only 1 of the 12 patches I'm sharing with you in the Dark Rooms edition.

I feel like these recent modern synths with preset patches and backup capabilities bring to the table a whole new way of sharing our individual vision with the world. I really feel like they are good platforms for the creative people who is fond of soundscapes, music creation, techno and dancing or any kind of sonic art to be able to share their work with the world through preset patches you can share and bring to life music you can interact with. 

These kind of modern synthesizers like the Microfreak where you can download these sonic worlds from other artists and run them in your gear to get real inspired and create your own thing out of it or just enjoy them as they are.

This is so much fun and it opens a huge door for us artists to have fun with our gear constantly creating and sharing new music.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Open MIDI Control Center (If you don't have it you can get it from Arturia)

For importing the downloaded file on your Microfreak press IMPORT on the MIDI Control Center marked with a big red number 1. Then select IMPORT NEW PROJECT marked with the number 2 and open the downloaded file. Then, on the column marked with the red number 3 select KYEPERS V0ID CHAMBERS-DARKROOMS and click SEND TO MICROFREAK marked with the number 4. When it's ready you will see DARKROOMS from 1 to 12 at the right of your screen, which means it's correctly loaded onto the Microfreak. You can then change the order of the patches or store them somwhere along the 500 patch preset slots available.
