Megam Square

Megam means cloud and when we talk of rains and monsoon, the cloud is the key! Megam refers to just about any cloud while Kaarmegam stands for raincloud. We decided to go with Megam as they come together to form the Kaarmegam. To show the transition, the sample has been done with blue/white Lion Brand ice cream yarn and the grey/white Lion Brand ice cream yarn. This yarn is just so soft and oh so perfect for the clouds. The same puff stitch used in Thooral became the base for the cloud and is worked horizontally to achieve this look. This square does not increase the puff stitches endlessly till the last round but rather we have tried to depict an elliptical shape with the placement of stitches. Care must be taken to note that change. One of the testers came back saying that they used to hate puff stitch but are a convert after making these two squares. This square sits perfectly with mild blocking.
