This charming section of the World’s Fair recreated ancient houses from medieval Brussels and Flanders, housing cafés, taverns, and restaurants that offered visitors a glimpse of Belgium’s festive traditions.

All these picturesque façades were demolished after the exhibition, making this photograph one of the few remaining testimonies of their existence.
