Feedback from the Editor

The author’s ability to capture the financial rigor of her most challenging moments and how she overcame hardship left me encouraged and enlightened. Each chapter carefully made me appreciate the author’s message while allowing for a great level of introspection and enlightenment. I am encouraged by her growth and in awe of the wonder God has created her to be. Readers will get a firsthand account of the philosophy of ants juxtaposed with the characteristics of a slug; thereby learning the difference between poverty and wealth. The author sheds light on the negative effects of procrastination and how it limits and kills our God-given potential. This memoir captured the negative effects of mental strongholds and helped liberate readers from every stronghold limiting their financial manifestation. With a strong message of perseverance, and the importance of wisdom and understanding. The author has taken the lead in telling all who would open this book to believe in God and apply consistency and wisdom as they struggle to conquer poverty. You are a prolific writer endowed with clarity in writing. The diction used in this book is easy to read and a layman can comprehend the context of this work. - Patricia

Unhealthy Relationship with Money

I had an unhealthy relationship with money and it was exposed when my husband got in a car accident and we had to buy another car. It wasn't in our plans. We both were supposed to get cars in two years. But now I was at the 6th or 7th dealership in total meltdown mode as we looked at prices of cars and I thought about payments.

Let me back up. My husband and I had worked hard at becoming debt free and we finally accomplished that goal at end of 2022 so now all I wanted to do was save as much money as we could and we were able to do that and had managed to save quite a bit of money so of course I wanted to keep it going. You see I had a goal for our savings and I didn't want anything to come between that goal.

So now we are back at the dealership after my husband found the car he wanted. The thought of car payments me in total meltdown. My head was hurting, my stomach was hurting, I was nauseated, and I was hyperventilating.

What is going on is what I asked Holy Spirit and he said "you have an unhealthy relationship with money". I was stunned because clearly that wasn't me because I save money. We had gotten home and as I lie in bed the thought of not having enough had me literally paralyzed with fear. I couldn't sleep and could barely eat. I just lied in bed crying because I didn't want to go back to not having enough. The sad thing is I didn't even realize this was an issue for me.

So as I got up to pray one morning repenting and crying out to Lord about the revelation he showed me about my relationship with money, I remembered I purchased this book so I picked it up and started reading and it was like a key had unlocked my brain. Wow! I was so focused on saving that I never considered God also wanted me to focus on earning. I thought being a good stewart meant saving only. I felt chains breaking off of my thought patterns as I read this book. I know I will never be the same because I look at wealth and money differently. I will continue to use this book throughout my life. God wants us to live free from thought patterns of lack and today is the starting point for me!!
