HOW TO USE THIS PACK

① Read the dialogue

Read through the conversation between the waiter and the guest. Pay attention to the phrases the waiter uses and how they respond in different situations.

② Study the key vocabulary

Each scenario includes 5 key words and phrases from the dialogue. Read the meaning and example sentence for each one before moving on.

③ Complete the practice exercise

Fill in the gaps using the key vocabulary. Check your answers using the answer key at the bottom of the page.

💡 Tip

Try reading the dialogue out loud with a friend or colleague — one person plays the waiter, one plays the guest. The more you practise speaking, the more natural it will feel on shift.
