T-90A

The T-90 is a Russian third generation main battle tank (MBT) developed to replace the T-72. It kept a similar 125mm main cannon but with an upgraded fire control system and better Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor (ERA) and the iconic Shtora missile jammer system. This tank entered service with the Russian army in 1992 and since then has received a myriad of upgrades and variants. The major lines in this tree are the T-90 Obr.1992 which was the original variant developed in 1992 T-90A which served from 2004 and the T-90M which is still in service since 2019.
