Application Timeout Issue

This is an actual A3 project, which was approved by Senior Management at a multinational, Fortune 1,000 company. The A3 details problems from a software application timing out, thus locking users out of the application.

This example shows that A3 Thinking is also applicable to simpler problems. Some problems can be addressed just by challenging the assumptions that led to the prior "solution(s)". In this case, Information Security policy implementation assumptions were successfully challenged by showing the waste and taking a fact-based approach.
