Whether you are an absolute beginner, or someone who has been playing for years, or if you played as a child and now want to make a comeback to piano or music in general — you are very much welcome to join my private lessons. You can book a trial lesson first to see if this is something you are looking for :) Then you can decide whether you'd like to continue your musical journey with me, or if you prefer to look somewhere else.
In this interview, Sandra talks about her teaching approach. She explains why classical piano music is in the center of her teaching: it’s a world full of emotion, expression, and stories—so much more than just playing notes.
During the lesson you’ll sit at the piano or keyboard. Place your laptop or tablet next to you so the camera can film your hands and the keys from the side (slightly from the front is also fine, as long as the keys are clearly visible).
Sometimes I’ll ask you to look at the screen so you can clearly see my hands/instructions, but most of the time you’ll follow my guidance while you play.
Tip: make sure there’s good lighting on the keyboard.
Not necessarily. We can also work with exercises, technique, note reading, posture, rhythm, etc.
Already working on a piece from sheet music? Please send a PDF of your piece in advance (or during the lesson), so we’re both looking at the same edition.

For solfeggio and music theory lessons you will need your laptop with a camera and a mic.
For songwriting lessons - if you play an instrument and want to use it during the session, make sure you have one close by :) Otherwise just laptop/ tablet with cam and mic will do.
Also make sure you have a room to yourself so you are not distracted.
Sandra has given me lessons in both classical piano and improvisation. That immediately highlights an important quality of her teaching: it’s tailor-made. No compulsory exercises in a fixed routine, but a unique approach each lesson based on your wishes and level. If you’re tired one day and don’t feel like having a lesson, Sandra senses it flawlessly and, through a conversation or a completely different exercise, still manages to motivate you—so that after an enjoyable lesson you go home recharged.
All of this comes on top of her extensive knowledge of playing techniques and piano repertoire.
I wholeheartedly recommend Sandra!
Sandra is a very pleasant piano teacher with a lot of knowledge. She gives practical tips to help you improve your technique. She’s patient, puts you at ease, and makes playing fun!
Sandra is a friendly and kind teacher. She really sees the student and thinks creatively to find lessons that fit the student. Thanks to Sandra, my son has rediscovered his enjoyment of piano lessons, and I’ve dared to take the step to start piano lessons myself. Sandra is great at motivating students and encourages them in a positive way to work through the difficult parts. Without a doubt, we recommend Sandra to both young and older students.
I started playing the piano five years ago at the age of 49. I began taking lessons with Sandra because she has a very broad and varied knowledge of music—both classical and modern. She pays close attention to what I enjoy and what I’m capable of. She challenges me, gives me enjoyable exercises to take home, but most of all she lets me practice with real pieces of music—because I simply want to play the piano.
Her theory lessons are also very educational. I can now see what a sheet of music is telling me. If we’d learned that at school, it would have been like gaining an extra language.
I take singing, solfège, and piano lessons with Sandra. She has taken the time to strengthen my basic knowledge and help me move to a higher level. She is attentive and sensitive to tone and notes.
Sandra teaches you to read notes.
Sandra teaches you what dynamics and tempo in music are.
Sandra teaches you to read the music note by note.
Sandra teaches you to hear the story in the music.
Sandra teaches you to play the piano, but above all: Sandra teaches you to make music!
Sandra is a fantastic teacher in many ways. She’s always cheerful and kind, and she always does her very best for her students. Sometimes we couldn’t make the usual lesson time, and she would always go out of her way to reschedule us for another time—which is so nice! Her dedication to her students also deserves praise: even if she has to explain something 100 times, she’ll give it her all every single time and come up with new ways to explain it. All my childhood traumas from unfriendly piano teachers have been cured by Sandra ;-)
