· Pair of needles 4.5 mm/ US 7, or size required to achieve correct tension for scarf
· Circular needle 3.25 mm/ US 3, 40 cm/ 16 ins long, or size required to achieve correct tension for hat
· 1 set (4) double point needles 3.25 mm/ US 3 for hat
· 2 sets (8) double point needles 3.25 mm/ US 3 or size required to achieve correct tension for gloves, 13 cm / 5 ins long if possible

TENSION GAUGE
37 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm/ 4 ins over 2 X 2 rib, with larger needles, un-stretched.
22 sts and 32 rounds = 10 cm/ 4 ins over St st, with smaller needles, blocked
