Dimension Chain Match Pro

Correct mismatched dimension-chain endpoints with a guided AutoLISP and DCL tool.

Select a trusted overall dimension, then select the smaller dimensions forming one continuous chain. Dimension Chain Match Pro aligns the chain’s outer measurement points with the overall while preserving interior division points and building geometry.

Command: DCMATCH

Requirements: Full Windows AutoCAD with AutoLISP, DCL, and Visual LISP/ActiveX support. Written to target AutoCAD 2002 and later; not tested in every release. AutoCAD LT 2002 is unsupported.

Please note: The selected overall must reference the correct measurement points. This tool matches the chain to that overall; it does not determine the intended building dimensions. Rounded displayed values may still differ even when actual spans agree. Aligned, angular, radius, diameter, and exploded dimensions are unsupported. Verify associative dimensions after regeneration and reopening.

Endpoint calculations checked against sample DXF data; not tested inside AutoCAD. Test on a drawing copy before production use.
