Songwriteam - Let me wander
I wrote this one on Reunion Island, on the second floor of the building in the centre of the photo.
a folk and uptempo song, about travelling of course
The ideal moment for this listening: a car journey, at the wheel, alone or accompanied, windows open, hair blowing in the wind. Night falls slowly, and the city or the fields pass by, but you only look at them from a distance. Your mind escapes, but your heart remains firmly anchored in simple pleasure.
The world outside is vast and wide,
A tapestry of colors, sounds and lights
I am but one line in this grand design
A single note in the symphony of time
in this life of mine
With every brushstroke, stories unfold,
Of dreams and love, of journeys yet untold
Each line and curve, a tale unfolds
A symphony of life in endless folds
where the moonlight scolds
So let me wander, let me roam,
For in each step, I find my home.
For life is but a dream divine
And I am free, as wind and vine
Let me wander, let me roam
Wherever whimsy may take my home
Each step I take, each path I choose
Leads to adventures, sweet and loose
My mind is like a canvas, blank and clean,
A slate waiting to be filled with dreams.
Its surface pure, its depths unknown
A canvas ready for the dawn's first tone
where spirit's flown
So let me wander, let me roam,
For in each step, I find my home.
For life is but a dream divine
And I am free, as wind and vine
Let me wander, let me roam
Wherever whimsy may take my home
Each step I take, each path I choose
Leads to adventures, sweet and loose
