Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters is a children's book (Cinderella story) written by John Steptoe. The story is about two sisters, Nyasha and Manyara, who live in an African village with their father, Mufaro. When the king announces that he is seeking a wife and will choose the most worthy and beautiful woman in the land, both sisters set out on a journey to meet him. Along the way, their true characters are revealed, and the king ultimately chooses Nyasha for her kindness and inner beauty.
