OC Thinking Skills Practice Tests, Year 3 and 4, Pack 2: 3 New Timed Tests (Tests 4 to 6) with Worked Answers in Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Thai

Your child has done a few practice tests and needs fresh questions, but explaining the tricky ones in English is hard. Pack 2 gives your child three new Thinking Skills tests in English, and gives you the worked answers in your own language so you can help at home.

What's inside (7 PDF files)

• Test 4, Test 5 and Test 6: 30 original Thinking Skills questions each (90 in total, all different from Pack 1), timed at 30 minutes like the real OC Thinking Skills section, 4 options per question. Each test has an answer sheet, an answer key, a worked answer in English for every question, and a skills check showing which question types to practise next.
• Worked answers in 4 languages: one booklet each in Tiếng Việt, 中文 (Simplified Chinese), 한국어 and ไทย. Every one of the 90 questions is explained, with the correct answer. Questions with a picture (tiles, a map, a cube net) show the picture in the booklet too.
• Question types: critical thinking (main point, must be true, assumptions, strengthen and weaken, spotting mistakes, fact or opinion, applying rules, reading data), logic (ordering, codes, puzzles with clues, calendars, directions, true or false puzzles) and problem solving (patterns, time, money, measuring, counting, shapes, maps).

How to use it

Print a test, set a 30 minute timer, and let your child work alone. Mark it together with the answer key, then read the worked answers in your language and talk through every question your child missed. Doing one test a week works well.
