Moleswind and the Flying Pig: An elf, a faerie and a remarkable pig...

Extract:

 Nathanial Moleswind lives in a fairy caravan in the forest. He is a thin and agile elf who stands about three foot tall. He likes to wear a scruffy top hat, which he thinks makes him look rather elegant.

One day he was dancing and humming outside his caravan, as you do, when a pig flew past.

Moleswind had never seen such a thing. So he ran after the flying pig, and watched it land clumsily in a hazel thicket.

He thought to himself, "It would be a fine thing to ride a flying pig." He started to sneak up on it.

The pig was happily snuffling and rooting for acorns in the undergrowth. Moleswind stepped on a dry stick, which snapped with a loud: "CRACK!"

The pig looked up, startled. It snorted loudly at Moleswind. Who stepped back, caught his foot in a bramble and fell over, twisting his ankle. "Ouch!"

After a few moments, instead of flying away, the pig cautiously approached Moleswind. Who was groaning from the pain in his ankle.
