Inspired by the atmospheric depths and haunting beauty of the iconic late-80s sci-fi movie The Abyss, comes a collection of 36 ambient cinematic presets for Serum 2, designed to take your productions deep beneath the surface.

Expect deep undercurrent drones, evolving textures, dark aquatic atmospheres and immersive cinematic soundscapes: perfect for sci-fi, underwater, horror, cinematic and ambient projects.

Every preset begins with original recordings from vintage synthesizers, hardware granular processors and real-world sound sources, before being imported into the Serum 2 engine for additional processing and sound design. The result is a collection of sounds that feel organic, unpredictable and far removed from typical synthesizer presets.

These are long-form sounds, carefully designed to evolve and continue developing seemingly into infinity. Rather than short, static patches, each preset is built to create movement, atmosphere and depth over extended periods, making them ideal for cinematic scoring, sound design, intros, transitions and ambient music.
