Force mated to three alphas?

Pointing her gun at the wrong man is never a good idea, and Anya learns this the hard way when she tries to avenge her pack by targeting Logan. How could she have known that beneath his doctor's coat was a former enforcer and martial arts expert?

Instead of turning her in, Logan decides to teach her a lesson in a much more intimate way—igniting her heat in his bed. As if alpha semen could heal her and make her a normal omega.

Anya scoffs at the idea. She values her independence far too much to let a domineering alpha control her life.

But when her heat strikes, bringing unbearable pain, Anya realizes there's only one man who can help her. Unfortunately, Logan's help comes with strings attached: she must also submit to two other alphas.

Excerpt:

The friendly receptionist directed Anya to the department leader, Mr Brandon. She didn’t know if it was his first name or last name, but most shifters didn’t bother with last names. Anya checked the nameplate on the door before she knocked. A handsome, dark-haired man in his early thirties looked up from his papers and turned his attention to her. Could this really be the 'old grump’ Darius had referred to? He didn’t look old at all.

“Mr Brandon?” Anya asked, not sure if she had come to the right office.

“Just call me Brandon,” the alpha said, getting up from his chair. Strolling toward her, she felt an instant need to back off as she realised just how much taller and broader he was compared to her. He wasn’t as tall as Darius, but he towered over her petite figure. The look in his eyes told her clearly that this alpha wasn’t someone she wanted to cross.

Anya forced herself to remain standing, keeping her fear at bay so he wouldn’t smell how nervous she was. The smile he gave her was probably meant to calm and reassure her that he meant no harm. It was strange how this alpha could ooze the confidence that made her omega wolf want to snuggle against him.

Anya took a deep breath, lifted her eyes and met his. He looked surprised and intrigued that she dared to face him. A normal omega would always lower her gaze when meeting an alpha who wasn’t her mate. Brandon’s smile broadened as if he acknowledged her confidence. It increased her approval of him.

“Please, take a seat. What can I do for you?”

Anya sat on the closest visitor's chair and pulled at her dress to cover her knees. She would never have chosen this dress if she had known how quickly it crept upwards when she moved.

“Elenor sent me. She said you needed someone with office experience,” Anya said.

“You’re Anya?” Brandon looked surprised as he combined her name with her person.

“Yes, that’s me.”

“She forgot to tell me you’re an omega.”

“Does it matter?”

“I’m an alpha.”

She wanted to snort as Brandon stated the obvious. As if there was any doubt in her mind that he was anything but a typical alpha. She lifted her eyebrows as she took in how his shirt clung to his biceps as he ran his fingers through his dark, thick hair. It was almost like his shirt was about to be torn apart.

Anya nodded, even if he was stating the obvious. “Yes, I know that.”

“Then you know why we can’t work together,” Brandon said matter-of-factly.

“Of course we can,” Anya said firmly as she faced him head-on. “Elenor said you would be overprotective of any omega. But she also said you’re short of staff and desperately need an office clerk. I have plenty of experience in that area.”

Brandon sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. It looked like something he usually did when he was frustrated.

“Look, Miss. I’m an unmated alpha, as are most of my staff and the enforcers we deal with daily. When you go into heat, this won’t be a safe environment for you.”

He seemed to believe that every alpha would harm her just by their sheer presence. Great. So much for keeping a low profile. It looked like she would have to tell him why it was perfectly safe to hire her, or he was likely to turn her down without even giving her a chance to prove herself. Anya should have known that getting inside their headquarters wouldn’t be so easy.

“There’s nothing to worry about, Mr Brandon. I won’t go into heat,” Anya said.

Brandon snorted. “Don’t give me that crap. I will smell you a mile away, and so will the rest of the enforcers.”

Anya sighed, realising there was no alternative if she wanted the job. She lowered her gaze, pretending to be embarrassed about what she was about to reveal.

“Look, Mr Brandon. I have a… medical disorder. This means that I can’t have heats.” She glanced at him quickly to see if he had heard her.

Brandon stared at her as if her words sounded just as ridiculous to him as they did to her. How many times hadn’t she wished to be completely normal? To join in the conversation with the other omegas when they complained about their heat and how horny it made them? It made her feel asexual. Like she was a gigantic freak. Anya had quickly discovered that the less she said about her lack of heats, the easier it was to blend in with the others. She would just nod at the right place and let everyone else have their say. Some of them knew about her deficiencies, but they rarely mentioned it. It was as if it was too embarrassing to bring up in case someone else caught her illness.

“You don’t?” Brandon asked, looking baffled by her words.

“No, I’ve never had one.” Anya shook her head, wondering if the Mooncrest pack would have refused her if they knew from the start. It was one of the reasons that she hadn’t mentioned it when they offered refuge. Without a heat, Anya wasn’t an asset to any pack. No one knew if she would ever be able to have children since the heats increased the chances of becoming pregnant. She might be practically barren. Her father had always told her it would change when she met her fated mate, but Anya suspected he only said it to comfort her. Even if she didn’t want a mate and children right now, she still wanted to have them someday. As an omega, she was more of a liability than an asset.

“Never?” Brandon asked again as if he had never heard of someone like her before.

Anya knew she looked just as embarrassed as she felt. She didn’t want to tell him about medical deficiencies. But for once, her lack of heat might work in her favour.

“I’ve never had one yet. And I’m 22, so it’s not because I’m too young. My father was a doctor, but even he couldn’t figure it out.” Anya lifted her gaze and looked at Brandon. His eyes showed a compassion she didn’t need. She hated it when other people considered her weak because she could never fulfil the one purpose every omega was supposed to do.

Brandon cleared his throat as if his thoughts had gone to a place she didn’t want them to go. Many alphas would consider her fair game if they realised she was barren. Treating her like she was nothing more than a sex toy. Despite Brandon’s handsome appearance, she had no intention of giving him anything more than what her work contract included. She prepared herself to turn him down flat if he offered her a place in his bed.

Brandon cleared his throat again. “Have you asked Doctor Logan about this?”

“No.” His question surprised her. He sounded like her father, always trying to solve other people’s issues.

“He’s an expert in the medical field, and he’s done several studies on the omega genome. You should book an appointment with him. He might be able to help you.”

Anya appreciated the idea. This might be a perfect way to learn more about the pack life and get closer to a potential target. But she didn’t want to sound too eager.

“Thanks for the advice, Mr Brandon. But I’ve accepted that I might never have children of my own. Still, I want to contribute in any way I can. That’s why I’m really keen on having this job. I need something to do. Something that makes me feel useful.”

Brandon's eyes looked thoughtful as if her words reminded him of something he wanted to forget. Then she remembered that Elenor had said he’d lost both his mate and his unborn child. She hoped his background would make him more likely to understand why she wanted a job. She needed to do something more than just hang around with her former pack members.

“Listen, Anya. You don’t have to work to pay for your keep or whatever you might think you owe us. We all know what your pack went through. No one will think less of you if you want to stay with the other refugees and build your strength.”

Despite the compassion in his voice, he was upfront with what everybody thought about them. What everybody wanted to ask but never did. He didn’t use the term ‘Omega house’ but he might as well. Everyone knew that was what they called them. The unfortunate. The ones that had been taken in and shown mercy just because they were considered too weak to be a threat to them. Anya stiffened even if she knew the comment was to be expected. She had to sound sincere and spell out how she felt.

“Mr Brandon. If you don’t want to hire me, I will find someone else who will.” Anya got up from her chair.

"I didn’t say that. Please take a seat, Anya. Do you have any prior experience?” Brandon asked, finally turning the conversation into safer territories.

“Yes. I’ve worked at my father’s medical office for years. I’m familiar with everything from manning the reception to accounting, payments and doing statistical analyses and reporting. Basically, over the years, I’ve done every task necessary to keep his office running smoothly.”

Brandon nodded before turning his strong gaze at her. Anya wanted to wince and show her throat in fear. This must be the face he put up when interrogating criminals.

“Most omegas applying for jobs only want to snatch an alpha, and they usually quit working before their trial period is up. How can I be sure you won’t do that?”

“I don’t like alphas,” Anya blurted out.

“You don’t?” Brandon smiled at her words as if he’d heard them before but didn’t believe her.

“Pardon my upfront approach, but I don’t need an alpha to rule my life. I want to earn my own money and save to live off the interest when I become too old to work.”

“You don’t want to find a mate?”

Anya straightened. “Mr Brandon. I’ve learned that I can’t survive on dreams. I know what it means to starve, to lose everything. I never want to go back there.” Anya knew she was more honest than wise, but he needed to believe her cover story. It was easier to stick as close to the truth as she possibly could. Any alpha would understand a need for independence and for security.

Brandon paused before he reached his decision. “Alright. You’re hired, even if I hope I won’t regret it.”

“Thank you, and you won’t regret it,” Anya said quickly, feeling immense relief at his words.

“That remains to be seen. But if your heat suddenly appears, you will stay home until it’s over. Is that clear?”

His voice was so commanding. Anya’s omega wolf crooned in delight, making her lower her gaze as she felt a shiver of anticipation inside her. He was a typical alpha, making common words sound like commands. She both loved it and hated it at the same time.

“Yes, of course, Mr Brandon.”

“Good. There are no exceptions to that rule. An omega in heat will cause mayhem among so many alphas. If you break that rule, I will kick you off the premises without a second of hesitation.”

“I won’t cause any problems,” Anya assured him. He really had no idea how useless it was to warn her. No matter how many handsome alphas were near, there was no reason why her body would suddenly heal itself and go into heat. No reason at all.

“Yes, sure. I hear you, but I’m not entirely convinced.” He chuckled, looking even more handsome as his face turned into a smile. “We’ve never had an omega on staff before. I want to know if any of them gives you any trouble.”

Anya was surprised that he brought it up. It made her respect him more. “I will, Sir.”

He grinned slightly. “Since you claim to not like alphas, I should warn you that most of our staff are alphas.”

“I can deal with that.”

“How do you plan to get here?”

“I can walk. It’s not far.”

“It’s not safe. I’ll have someone pick you up around 8 tomorrow morning until we find a better solution.”

“Okay.”

Brandon walked around the desk, and Anya jumped up from her chair. She noticed how his eyes moved down her figure as if he was weighting her chances of survival. She lifted her chin defiantly, wondering if he was testing her. Had he already changed his mind about hiring her?

“You’ll do,” Brandon said and gave her a nod as if she had just passed a test. “Let’s do a small tour while I explain your tasks.”

She followed him as he escorted her around the premises. He introduced her to all the colleagues they met along their route. It was a large building, and Anya struggled to remember every name and detail while trying to keep up with Brandon’s longer strides. He went through all the important tasks, and the number of details was daunting. He was clearly a boss who liked to know and control every little detail of every operation. The sheer amount of information made it clear that he wasn’t just acting as the boss but monitoring everything. She would bet he was a regular control freak if she ever saw one. He reminded her about her father with his attention to detail. Luckily, several other staff members knew most of the regular tasks, and a nice beta named Susie had agreed to be her mentor.

After the tour, Brandon escorted her to the front desk. He looked around as if he was looking for someone.

“Where’s Elenor?” Brandon asked. “I thought she was waiting for you.”

Anya saw Darius walk toward them. “No, she delegated the task to this gentleman.”

“Brandon,” Darius said and grinned. “I thought you would never let her out of your sight.”

“He’s your guard?” Brandon looked as if he’d tasted something sour. “Elenor is too trustful these days. Darius is the last person I would entrust to look after a young omega.”

Darius laughed. “I’m completely tame, and Elenor knows it. Besides, Anya has already clarified that she’s not interested.”

“Has she now?” Brandon said as he glanced at Anya as if he was still puzzled by her. “Tomorrow, one of the betas will drive you, Anya. I will make sure of it.”

“You don’t trust me, Brandon?” Darius asked with a grin.

Brandon snorted. “I know you, Darius. She doesn’t.”

Anya didn’t bother to ask what Brandon meant. An alpha was always an alpha. Hunting and conquering everything in sight. It was their nature, and it did her no good to forget it. Besides, Brandon was also an alpha, so Anya couldn’t understand why Darius could be any worse.

Darius behaved like a perfect gentleman as he drove her back to Elenor’s house. He didn’t talk much, but Anya didn’t mind. Her thoughts were still circling around what Brandon had told her about Logan. Could there be a chance that he could succeed where her father had failed? Was there a chance that she could be healed? Still, her condition had finally proved useful since it gave her a job at the enforcer’s headquarters. Hopefully, it was the perfect place to gain the intel she needed.

“Congratulations on your new job, Anya. I knew he couldn’t resist you,” Darius said as he opened the door to let her out.

“Thanks, Darius,” Anya said, catching the wink in his eyes. This man was a gigantic flirt, and his good mood was getting contagious.

“Do you want to go somewhere and celebrate this evening?” Darius asked, adding to her impression of him.

“No, thanks. I will retire early and ensure I’m ready to start working tomorrow.”

“Too bad. But give me a call if you change your mind.”

Anya brushed him off. Darius could flirt until his face turned blue. It wouldn’t make any difference. She was immune to his alpha charm. But he was right about one thing. Brandon had been easier to persuade than she had imagined. Now, she just had to make sure to uphold her part of the arrangement while soaking up all the information she could gather to plan her revenge.
