There may be too many SDIs, Specially Designed Instructions, for teachers to remember for each child with an IEP. This resource was designed to reference only each child's highlights relevant to each specific teacher, whether General Education Teacher or Special Education Teacher or another staff. Not all SDIs are relevant to all school staff and IEPs can be complicated to digest. Having just what's relevant and concise for reference can eliminate anxiety and problem solve quickly.
Empathizing with school staff is part of IEP Process, Interrupt It!'s mission. We can't empathize what we don't understand. Collaboration doesn't exist in exchanging demands without providing support both ways. There are times that would require me to support school staff with resources in order for them to support my child. And, that's OK.
