Chandigarh: Teacher-turned-politician Seva Singh Sekhwan today joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself came to Sekhwan village and inducted him into the party. Raghav Chadha and Bhagwant Mann were also present on the occasion. Seva Singh Sekhwan, who started his political career from Shiromani Akali Dal Badal, was earlier a part of Akali Dal Democratic.

After joining the party, Seva Singh Sekhwan built a bridge of praise for Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal. "I sincerely thank Kejriwal," he said. Kejriwal has enhanced my pride. "I have been with the Akali Dal for three generations but the Akali Dal has not valued our service," he said. Now I will support the Aam Aadmi Party till my last breath.

On behalf of Arvind Kejriwal, he said about Seva Singh Sekhwan that he had come to Punjab to know the condition of Seva Singh Sekhwan. Seva Singh Sekhwan will continue to lead the party. He said that with the arrival of Seva Singh Sekhwan the party would be stronger as Sekhwan has better experience of Punjab and would make Punjab the number one state Aam Aadmi Party. It may be recalled that earlier Arvind Kejriwal had visited Punjab to join former IG Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh and now Seva Singh has come to Punjab especially for Sekhwan.
