Easiest way to setup a new TV

For the past 16 years i have had my Samsung plasma TV and the picture quality was great. Well that TV finally bit the dust so i had to get a new TV. I purchased a Samsung CU8000 on sale and thought it would have at least a comparable picture to my plasma as technology has advanced over the past 16 years. Boy was i wrong or so i thought. I struggled to get the picture even remotely close to what i was use to, asked around, went back to the store and had various responses like "its a budget tv", "you will need to pay $200 for a in-home calibration"... I tried another pay for the specs site and the results improved but still were not great. Then i found the TV Calibration with Darko and thought i would give it a go before returning the TV and spending more money for a better quality TV. Wow, that is the response my wife gave when she saw the final setup. It was so worth the money to get this and the instructions were simple to understand. Do yourself a favor and get your TV Calibration with Darko.

Samsung CU8072

I am satisfied with the picture on my TV after entering the calibration settings from Darko.
The picture is really much better, sharper and the colors are great, they are no longer as exaggerated as the factory ones.
Basically 5 euros well invested.
My recommendation for the CU 7000 and 8000 models of Samsung TV.

Settings Look Good On My Samsung CU7170

So far these settings have been great on my low end Samsung TV.

I do understand the limitations of the TV and that getting a colorimeter would give me better white balance and colour control. The TV is only worth £400 so no point really until I buy a premium model where I would consider full calibration
