Experiments 01: Tamsin Rook
Meet Tamsin Rook.
A little over a year ago, Tamsin was a 32-year-old lab technician at Peregrine Biosciences.
Then Project Lattice failed.
During a routine test involving an experimental adaptive-tissue system, a containment failure permanently reorganized her body. Tamsin retained her identity, cognition, human face, and much of her upper torso, but now has a large horse-derived body with four true equine limbs and no human hands.
Tamsin Rook is the first character in the FormerlyHuman Experiments series.
Experiments is where I use individual characters to try new visual styles, transformation techniques, anatomical ideas, storytelling approaches, and character designs. Each release is a chance to push into something a little different and see what works.
Tamsin’s concept centers on an unusually difficult body plan: not simply a woman with horse traits, but a stable hybrid with a large horse-derived lower torso, equine forelimbs in place of arms, equine hindlimbs, and a recognizably human identity.
This collection includes 38 images, 12 videos, and a complete transformation comic.
The comic follows the Project Lattice accident and Tamsin’s transformation, while the images and videos explore the life she has built afterward.
Today, Tamsin still works for Peregrine Biosciences, now as a Lab Operations & Equipment Validation Specialist. She’s also in a steady relationship with Evan Calder, although they maintain separate homes and independent lives.
Her story isn’t about becoming famous, discovering a grand purpose, or deciding the accident was secretly a blessing.
It’s about adapting.
Chairs don’t work anymore. Beds, kitchens, workplaces, clothing, transportation, and even simple everyday tasks all require new solutions when you have four hooves and no hands.
The collection follows Tamsin at home, at work, with Evan, and in ordinary situations that become much less ordinary because of her body.
38 images. 12 videos. One transformation comic.
Experiments 01 is where the series begins.
