Shadows (Midnight Edition) is a re-imagination of Cannons’ breakthrough 2019 album Shadows, released on July 11, 2025 via Columbia Records.

This special edition blends the original favorites like “Baby,” “Fire for You,” “Talk Talk,” “Love Chained,” “Bright Lights,” and “Shadows” with three newly-styled versions — including “Fire for You (Midnight Version),” “Shadows (Dark Wave Mix),” and “Talk Talk (Dub Mix).”

Crafted as a “love letter to those who create in the quiet, trusting something beautiful will grow in the dark,” the album revisits the nocturnal energy that defined its creation. Michelle Joy of the band explains that the new edition honours the sleepless-night sessions, hidden truths and creative shadows that gave birth to the original record.

Musically, Midnight Edition deepens the dreamy indie-pop and retro-soul foundations of the original with a richer palette of late-night ambiance: string arrangements, darker synth textures, and remix-driven reinterpretations that invite listeners into a more introspective, after-hours version of the album.
