Do we need a cosy jumper for a forest walk or mushroom picking? Yes, we do! Should this sweater be so versatile that it is perfect for your other activities? Obviously! Penny Bun has been designed to keep you warm and cosy whatever you do. Take your Penny Bun for a hike or walk, wrap yourself in it when sitting at home with a cup of tea, enjoy the warmth of a campfire or feel snug while strolling around the city.

Penny Bun is an everyday and unisex oversized pullover with drop sleeves and comfortable crew neck. This basic and truly comfy sweater is decorated with eye-catching chubby tucks all over the fabric. Hem, collar and cuffs are finished with rib and tubular bind off to provide the best look and elasticity. It is an easy and quick project, perfect for beginners!

Penny Bun is worked top-down and completely seamless. It starts with two front pieces, which, after neckline and shoulder shaping, are joined and worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for the back are then picked up and after shoulder shaping, worked straight down to the underarm. The back and front pieces are joined together and continued straight down in one piece to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round down to the cuffs. The shoulders are shaped by short rows. The pattern describes the “German Short Rows” method which provide the best result.

The sweater was designed taking female proportions into account, so consider length modification of your sleeves and body to your personal measurements if needed.

The pattern contains detailed instructions for making a sweater in 10 sizes and two language versions – Polish and English.
