Square It Off
Fabulous and fun to knit cushion which consists of mitred squares which are joined as you go. Use as many colours a you want.
Materials:
Hjertegarn Merino Cotton (DK; 50% superwash wool/50% cotton;120m/131yds per 50g ball) x 4 balls. Shown in shade: 434 Light Grey (C1) x 2 balls, 9130 Magenta (C2) x 1 ball & 1265 Grass (C3) x 1 ball
3.75mm (UK 9/US 5) circular needles (60 or 80cm/24 or 32in long)
Cushion pad, 30cm x 30cm/12in x 12in
Five buttons (2cm/¾in)

Tension:
Follow instructions for Square 1 which should measure 7.5cm x 7.5cm/3in x 3in. Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension will affect the final size and amount of yarn used.
