orijentacija is a nod to the composer, Simon Steen-Andersen, based on his String Studies. Andersen is skilled at exploring virtually all things that can be done and heard in a piece, but I felt his study for cello and video in particular was so groundbreaking that more work ought to come from it. In particular, the light source left a bit to the imagination, and in this iteration, I believe the presence of the light will become integral to the work.

Performers may play whichever pair of violin and flashlight they prefer, and the other part must be recorded in advance for the superimposed video projection. I will leave final say about the projection to the players, for flexibility's sake.
