Award Winning Pattern | Knit Now Magazine New Designer Of The Year 2016

Short attention span? This is the shawl pattern for you!

Although I hate to admit it, I sometimes have a short attention span, or at least that’s my excuse for having so many knitting projects on the go at once! As a result, I like knitting patterns that contain different sections: Xiphos has been designed with this specifically in mind.

Xiphos is an asymmetric triangular shawl with a beautiful double-edged lace pattern, which is knitted from side to side by beginning at one corner and finishes with a knitted-on border.

The pattern includes charts and full written instructions (you choose which to work from), photographs, a schematic and it has been fully tech-edited.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Xiphos is knitted from one corner with a "knitted as-you-go" lace edging. It is finished with a knitted-on border along the bottom edge, using the same lace pattern as previously. This means there are just a few stitches to cast off once you've finished the knitting: it's a great introduction to "knitted-on" edges.
