Barnaby’s Big Splash

This story rejoins Barnaby the bear cub on a beautiful, hot summer day. Feeling warm, he decides to take a pleasant walk to his favorite sparkling blue pond to cool off. When he arrives at the lush green bank, he sees his favorite red rubber ball floating invitingly on the water, just a little too far out to reach with his paw.

Determined to retrieve it, Barnaby finds a long stick and carefully leans over the bank to fish it closer. He stretches too far, loses his balance, and tumbles headfirst into the pond with a giant, refreshing SPLASH! Although he is completely wet and his long stick is lost, Barnaby realizes the water feels wonderful. He happily grabs his red ball and decides that sometimes, a little accident turns out to be a great adventure. He finishes his day enjoying a sunny snack by the water, warm and content.
