Learning, Living, and Teaching for Equity: Creating Spaces for Democracy
This work began as my doctoral research while I was completing my studies in the Foundations of Education program at University of Kansas. I later revised the manuscript and submitted it to S. University of Sheffield, where I was awarded my PhD in Social Justice Education. In this dissertation/book, I examine how American educators have engaged with the work of Paulo Freire and how his ideas have influenced democratic teaching practices.
