Hollyhocks & Moon Rabbit cardigan pattern
This is a pattern for a knitted cardigan worked using the stranded colourwork technique. It is worked from the top down, with a steek, and afterthought pockets (optional).
Since the Rabbit Motif patterning is large, I have included instructions for working at a gauge of 26 sts or 28 sts by changing needle sizes. Hopefully this will cover a nice number of us with a good fit. In addition, there are no instructions for waist shaping, however if you prefer a wider hip circumference or a more swing style garment, you may increase your needle sizes up to 3.5mm OR use the suggested increases included in the pattern. (Increasing over hips/body may increase yarn amounts.)
This pattern is also included with your paid cat4044’s Ravelry project page.)
needles:
2.75mm (us no 2) circular 24in/60cm
3.25mm (us no 3) circular24in/60cm
OR
2.5mm (us no 1.5) circular 40in/101cm
3.0mm (us no 2.5) circular 40in/101cm
DPNs for sleeves 6in/15cm if needed
gauge: 26 sts x 34 rows = 4in/10cm
measured over Main Motif patterning using 2.75mm for single-colour rounds and 3.25mm for stranded rounds.
OR
28 sts x 36 rows = 4in/10cm
measured over Main Motif patterning using 2.5mm for single-colour rounds and 3.0mm for stranded rounds.
Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep gauge the same throughout.
approximate finished size (buttoned):
1 (2, 3, 4) 5, 6, 7 (8) - size is determined by stitch gauge

If using gauge of 28 sts x 36 rows then the bust is approximately 28 (32.25, 37, 41.5) 46, 50.75, 55.25 (59.75) in / 71 (82, 94, 105.5) 117, 129, 140.5 (152)cm
