Churn Echoes originally appeared in The Quilter’s Planner Magazine in 2019. This pattern is updated to include additional instructions for a smaller block. A new cutting dimension as well as assembly technique will save a little fabric and make cutting easier.
Use traditional piecing with color and value selection to create a double take on the churn dash block. Create blocks in two sizes for different sized finished quilts. Or use 4 of the small blocks together to make one large block to fit into the large size quilt.
42 quilt blocks at 10 ½ inch square or 5 ½ inch square will create quilt sizes of 60 x 70 inches or 30 x 35 inches [sizes are approximate].
