The “Summer Dew” ankle socks are pretty and easy to make. Simple texture matched with fancy cuffs make them very unique and original. Socks are worked toe-up, seamlessly in the round, with the heel flap.

The socks were designed to be worn with about 2.5 cm / 1 “ of negative ease in width.
YARN
For a pair of socks you’ll need about {250, 280} m of any fingering weight yarn.
Note that the yardage is estimated and depends on sock length.
Sample socks were made with Ekstra-Motek Viki ( 100% Wool - Merino; 400m / 437y per 100g ).

NEEDLES
2.25 mm ( US #1 ) circular needles for magic loop or DPNS, or size needed to get the right gauge.
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
stitch markers (optional), row counter, tapestry needle for weaving ends.
GAUGE
34 sts and 48 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 “ - in Stockinette Stitch pattern worked in the round with 2.25 mm ( US #1 ) needles, after wet blocking.
Adjust needle size if necessary to get given gauge.
