Overview

The MORGENSTERN MK III is a blaster in a cyber-future where german trains must run on time, no matter what. This one has been hastily put into service late in 2399, in preparation for the return of the scout train OPFERDOLCH ("Sacrificial Dagger") that was sent north into the (presumed) frozen wastelands of the former UK. The train is scheduled to return at the winter solstice.

The blaster is an all-around improvement over the outdated MORGENSTERN MK II. It features a bullpup design for the usual maneuverability-concerns train guards experience during their shifts. It also chambers 74mm caseless full length darts for penetrating frost-armored targets. This is supported by its advanced bolt-action design, making it a sturdy single-target option. In newly developed tactics train guards wielding the MORGENSTERN MK III are paired with MOTORTIER SMG wielders, for colloquially-named "pierce-and-pump" engagements. Official tactical nomenclature designations are still under review.

Initial reports from the northern Firewall suggest minor schedule interruptions. Be advised.

Mechanically speaking, this is a bolt-action bullpup springer blaster that takes standard nerf magazines for full-length darts. It can also take regular Talon or Katana magazine adapters without issue. The pusher is long enough to work with all of them.

The plunger tube is Talonclaw-sized, with a 120mm draw that is fed into a pulley system to make it 240mm worth of bolt-action with an easy pull. The whole thing is powered by a K26. You know the one.

Without any tuning or optimizations you can expect about 140 FPS from it.

The blaster is also symetrical, meaning the bolts are on both sides. You can use it left- or right-handed.

Printing

You will need a bed of about 250mm size to print the longer pieces. I tend to print with 4 walls and 15% gyroid infill for sturdiness.

For US folks: Here is a collector link for all the stuff at Out Of Darts, so you can get it all together into your shopping cart. It also includes the paracord. So all you need to add after that are the wood screws. -> https://outofdarts.com/products/gen-morgenstern-mkiii-hardware-kit
