The Heliosphere is the opening episode of an original musical fiction series created by Gavin How. Through twelve cinematic compositions, it imagines the birth of the universe, the emergence of order from chaos, and the creation of music itself.

This is not simply an album—it is the first chapter in an expanding musical universe where every episode tells a new story through original music and narration.

Inspired by the orchestral grandeur of Gustav Holst, the classical storytelling of Sergei Prokofiev, the concept album vision of Jeff Wayne, the pioneering electronic work of Delia Derbyshire and Wendy Carlos, and the cinematic traditions of John Williams and themes of Alexander Courage and Hans Zimmer, The Heliosphere blends orchestral, rock, electronic and ambient influences into a unique listening experience.

Every composition forms part of a continuous musical journey rather than a collection of individual songs, drawing on a broad palette of musical instruments, textures and styles.
