These classic socks update a traditional ribbed sock with a center cable and a little bit of textural interest. The Lady Grey socks have an eyelet rib to add a pretty element, while the Earl Grey version uses purl bumps to create a more masculine feel. There are five sizes offered to fit a range of feet, making these socks perfect for gifting or keeping as a special project for yourself.
This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round and cabling. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns.
Suggested Yarn: Destination Yarn Postcard, or other fingering weight yarn that knits to gauge. Samples shown in Duomo (light grey) and Harvest Moon (navy)
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL) to fit leg circumference up to 10 (11, 12, 12.75, 13.75)” / 25.5 (28, 30.5, 32.5, 35) cm
Designer Note: Light grey socks are shown in size S on women’s size 8.5 feet, Navy socks are shown in size M on men’s size 10.5 feet. The ribbing pattern is quite stretchy - you will want to cast on for a smaller stitch count than you use for standard stockinette socks.

Gauge: 40 sts and 36 rounds = 4” / 10 cm worked in the round in pattern, un-stretched. Pattern should comfortably stretch to double its un-stretched width — 20 sts = 4” / 10 cm
Needles and Notions: US size 1 / 2.25 mm DPNs, cable needle, stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn, tapestry needle
