Barbershop Profit Tracker
Barbershop Profit Tracker Excel for your barbershop — service pricing, daily appointment logs, barbers and chair rent, and a monthly P and L dashboard. Know what every cut actually costs — and whether the month actually made money.
Built for barbershops, barbers, and small shop owners who need to know, service by service and chair by chair, whether the price covers the products, the barber, and the rent — without accounting software. If a service is losing money, this workbook shows it before the next price list.
WHAT'S INCLUDED (6 sheets):
- Services and Pricing — minutes per service, product and booking fee cost per service, cost per service, price per service, and margin in dollars and percent for every service. Change a product cost and every log profit updates by formula.
- Appointments and Sales — date, barber and chair, job type (Walk-In, Booked, Kids, Wedding/Group), service, services performed that day, price per service, revenue, cost per service pulled from the pricing sheet, profit, and margin. One row per barber per day.
- Barbers and Chair Rent — barber, payment model (Chair Rent or Commission), services, service revenue, chair rent, commission percent, shop share, and barber pay. Shop share is the chair rent for rent barbers, or revenue times the commission percent for commission barbers.
- Monthly P and L — revenue, job cost, barber payouts, shop rent, and other expenses by month, Jan-Dec, with net profit and margin. Revenue and job cost are formulas from the Appointments sheet.
- Dashboard — total revenue, services performed, average job value, gross and net profit and margin, best service by margin dollars and by margin percent, best-selling service, best day and best job type, costs by category, total shop share, and total barber pay.
- Cover and How to Use — start here. Yellow cells are the only ones you edit.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Download the Excel file instantly after purchase.
2. On sheet 1, enter each service's product cost per service, booking fee per service, and price per service. Cost per unit and margin fill in by formula.
3. On sheet 2, log every job: date, customer, job type, service (spelled exactly as on sheet 1), quantity, and unit price. Revenue, cost per unit, and profit fill in by formula.
4. On sheet 3, enter each barber's payment model, services, service revenue, chair rent, and commission percent. Shop share and barber pay fill in by formula.
5. On sheet 4, enter barber payouts, shop rent, and other expenses each month, then check gross and net profit on the Dashboard.
HOW THE NUMBERS WORK:
Cost per service is product cost per service plus booking fee per service. Margin per service is price per service minus cost per service. Margin percent is margin per service divided by price per service. Cost per service does not include the barber's pay — that is deducted as barber payouts on the P and L. Gross profit is revenue minus job cost; net profit is revenue minus job cost, barber payouts, shop rent, and other expenses. One unit is one service.
WHO IT'S FOR:
Barbershops, barbers, and small shop owners who want service pricing, daily logs, chair rent and commission, and a monthly P and L in one workbook — without accounting software.
PLEASE NOTE:
- This is a digital download. No physical item will be shipped.
- Works in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (upload to Google Drive to open in Sheets).
- Example data for October 2026 is included (10 services, 20 daily logs, 93 services, 3 barbers). Replace it with your own numbers.
- The example is simplified: retail product sales are not a separate line, so add a retail row on sheet 2 if you sell products. Check your local licensing rules for barbering.
