The Phonemic Chart · B1–B2 · Pronunciation | No-Prep ESL Pronunciation Lesson
A ready-to-teach B1–B2 pronunciation lesson that walks students through the phonemic chart: 12 monophthongs, 8 diphthongs and 24 consonants.
Students compare letters and sounds in English and their own language, look at the full chart, and take a two-part quiz on what they already know. The chart is then broken into three parts, each with sorting tasks that match familiar words to their sounds. An odd-one-out task sharpens listening, and students move from phonemic script back to words, look up and transcribe words in a dictionary, decode phrases and a short piece of connected speech, and finish with a secret message for homework and a sticky-note exit ticket.
