Turas (meaning 'journey') is inspired by the evolution of the word 'Celtic'- the historical people this term refers to, and cultural remnants that still exist today. 

Turas features a twisting, turning cable panel, with a body of garter stitch, shaped with short rows. The pattern is worked side-to-side, beginning with just a few stitches, and increasing. The centre is shaped with short rows, before working decreases to the end. 

The pattern includes both charted & written cable instructions.

Gauge:
19 sts and 32 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Garter Stitch blocked
Cable panel measures 4” / 10 cm across at full width (27 sts), including I-cord borders.

Needles:
4 mm circular needle, 24”/ 60 cm long or size needed to achieve gauge.

Yarn:
Stolen Stitches ‘Blasta’ (60% Irish wool, 40% New Zealand wool, 232 yds / 212 m per 100g); colour: Coillte, 3 (4) skeins. 

Additional Materials:
Removable markers, tapestry needle, cable needle.
