Farmworks - 2023

This photograph was taken at a disused farm on the West Coast of the Isle of Wight, UK.

It is of an old grain drill. Before these were invented, farmers had to sow seeds by "broadcasting" them—essentially throwing handfuls of seed onto the ground and hoping for the best. This machine changed agriculture by automating the process and ensuring seeds were planted at the correct depth and spacing.

This photograph was taken on a Leica Q2 Monochrome and is of exceptional quality.

The print itself is on 16x12 satin inkjet paper with the white border as shown for framing and comes tube rolled for protective shipping.
