Local Weed Walk — Geelong, Wed 23 Sept, 12pm

🕛 Time: 12pm

📍 Meeting point: Balyang Sanctuary, Newtown — near the bridge closest to the car park at the duck ponds

⏱ Duration: Casual and open-ended — we’ll wander for an hour or more, and you’re welcome to head off whenever you need to.

Join me for a casual local weed walk exploring the wild, edible and medicinal plants growing right under our noses around Geelong.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly walk (little ones welcome — I’ll have my own baby along too!). We’ll wander together, see what we find, and chat about the plants along the way. If people are keen, we might wander to a nearby spot too to find a bit more.

Good to bring (optional):

• A notepad if you like to jot things down

• Your phone for photos of plants

• A raincoat or umbrella just in case — a bit of drizzle won’t stop us!

☔️ We’ll go ahead rain or shine — only a call-off if it’s genuinely wild weather (strong wind/heavy rain). I’ll message everyone if that happens.

$20 covers the whole family — no need to book separate tickets for each person.
