Amethystian Wand of Honeysuckle Vine
Found in a wet woodland, growing up an alder tree, carefully selected for the beautiful twist and natural opening in the vine at the base. There are 5 rich purple pieces of amethyst carefully placed and fixed with glue and crushed pyrite.
the site was also a place where an Anglo Saxon village was built and recreated in Suffolk. This was a time of returning to the old pagan ways before the Roman invasion and the people that lived there would have included the descendants of the pre-Roman Celtic Britons too, I have felt it was a special place all my life and I think this time period it's so strongly associated with was too. It's also painted with daniel smith amethyst watercolour, which is made of genuine ground up amethyst pigment and gum Arabic, and coated with shellac varnish, made from secretions of the lac beetle and Alcohol, everything is as non symmetric as possible
wand is approximately 9" and an 1" to 0.5" thick
