This video is about a neolithic human DNA sample from the Ural region in Russia. This sample likely belonged to a Neolithic foraging or early pottery-using culture in the Trans-Ural region, possibly linked to the Lower Ob or forest-zone ceramic traditions. These cultures were non-agricultural, living a semi-sedentary hunter-gatherer lifestyle. They practiced Fishing and hunting, used stone tools and early ceramics, and migrated seasonally following animal migration patterns.

NEO687, discovered in Sverdlovsk Oblast and dated to around 3700 BCE is composed predominantly of Eastern Hunter-Gatherer (EHG) ancestry, with minor contributions from Western Hunter-Gatherers (WHG) and Caucasus Hunter-Gatherers (CHG).

According to Fst analysis, computed using Admixtools 2, this sample is not close to modern West Siberians, such as the Mansi, and is rather most similar to populations of eastern europe.

I ran this sample through my Trait Predictor tool for DNA analysis.
