Christmas Art Lesson Polar Bear Christmas Art Project December Art Activity
This Polar Bear Art Project is a step-by-step winter and Christmas art lesson that keeps students engaged before the holiday break. Students blend pencil crayons and soft pastels to create a cozy, festive polar bear scene.
The guided lesson encourages students to experiment with shading and texture, which makes it a good way to practice value and contrast. It works for classroom teachers, art teachers and homeschooling families.

HOW TO USE IT
Read the lesson plan, gather materials ahead of time, and photocopy the step-by-step handouts and rubrics. Print the poster sample in color to show students what they are making (it is your hook), then project the PDF steps, show them under a document camera, or use them as your own guide while you demonstrate. Every step has a visual and a text description, and you may want to make a sample yourself first.
