This is the third book I have written, and I decided to make it a fantasy story. I found myself wondering... What should the theme be? What story could I tell? What would the central message be? Who would my characters be? And where would the story take place? First, I wanted to feature my cat, Leone, as the main character. So, I decided that my main characters would be cats! I pictured the opening scene in a beautiful countryside setting. But I felt I needed to add a touch of reality—specifically, the harsh reality that animals face in the world.

My story tells the life of a little kitten born and raised in a family home, surrounded by love and care. His mother—a cat—was the elderly woman's pampered pet.

One day, the old woman didn't wake up. It was a heartbreaking day for all of them.

They lost the old woman, their home, and the love they had known.

They were taken to an adoption center and simply left there.

Day after day, they watched death stalk the corridors or saw others get adopted—never to see one another again. That is what happened to his mother; he never heard from her again.

But fate took a turn for this lovely kitten, giving him the chance to find a new home on a farm.

A fantastic story unfolds here—one with touches of reality, encompassing both sadness and joy.

What’s more, this kitten strikes up a friendship with a little mouse!
