TIPS FOR PAINTING THEM

Cosmos petals are translucent — let the first wash dry, then drop a touch more pigment at the petal base to suggest depth. Coreopsis centres are dark; paint them last so they don't bleed into the bright outer rays. Perfect for watercolour, but they work beautifully as colouring pages too if that's your thing.
