If you missed out on "World Literature" or only studied a tiny slice of it, your self-education can be continued at low cost with this massive set of anthologies from Norton. Definitive and annotated texts, essays to provide historical and cultural context. This used set is in good condition, and only a handful of the works have some student highlighting. Volume A covers texts from the beginnings of human writing up to year 100 in the current era (CE). Includes Greek, Chinese, Indian, and Roman works. [Some light highlighting in this volume]. 1200 pages.

Volume B covers the years 100 CE to 1500 CE. The best of medieval European writing but also parallel writings from India, China, and the Islamic world. Pages 1201 to 2402.

Volume C covers writings from 1500 to 1650 CE. Includes Cervantes, Shakespeare, and Milton. Pages 2401-3092.

Volume D covers 1650 to 1800. Chinese, Japanese, and European writings into the Age of Reason. 648 pages.

Volume E surveys World Literature from 1800 to 1900, with American and Russian writing entering the mix. Pages 651-1571.

Volume F attempts to survey The 20th century. Exhaustive varied. Pages 1572 to 3150.
