These School Subject Coloring Bookmarks are original, hand-drawn printable bookmarks for students to color, cut and keep. There are 8 designs, one for each subject: Dance, Drama, English, Math, Music, Science, Social Studies and Writing.

They make a calm, low-prep activity for teachers, art teachers and homeschoolers. Students make their own color choices and finish with a real bookmark they can use in class, in reading groups, in the library or at home.

WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING

★★★★★ “Excited about a new school year and I'm going to use bookmarks to really promote reading this year.” Albert V.

WHAT'S INCLUDED (NON-EDITABLE PDF)

  • 1 Cover Page
  • Thumbnail Preview Pages showing the bookmark designs
  • 1 Teacher Information and How to Use Page
  • 8 School Subject Bookmark Designs, arranged 4 per page for easy photocopying

HOW TO USE IT

Photocopy and cut, or print onto cardstock for sturdier bookmarks. Students can color with pencil crayon, crayon, felt markers, watercolor paint, chalk pastel, oil pastel or any medium you like. Laminate them after coloring, or hole punch the tops and tie a ribbon through for extra personality. The teacher page encourages students to fill in each part individually rather than rushing through large spaces with one color.

Use them for early finishers, "when you're done" work, reading groups, library time, art centers, quiet work, sub plans or homeschool reading and art time. Along the way, students practice fine motor control, careful coloring and attention to detail.
