Another Time

Another Time, created by John Robert Beck in 2008, is a study in angular precision and layered abstraction. Constructed using a consistent 30 - 60 degree framework, the composition features an intricate arrangement of triangles, diamonds, and hexagonal forms that interweave across the canvas. These geometric elements appear both solid and translucent, allowing depth to emerge through overlapping planes and shifting color intensity.

The background introduces a contrasting organic texture, with rich reds, purples, and muted natural tones blending together in a fluid, almost atmospheric field. This interplay between strict geometry and organic texture creates tension and harmony at the same time. The viewer is drawn into a visual experience that feels both structured and evolving, as if capturing a moment suspended between movement and stillness.

Another Time was created as a companion piece to "Another Place," with both works exploring the expressive potential of angular geometry. While connected in concept, this piece stands on its own as a layered exploration of form, depth, and visual rhythm.
